MORE VBS HELP NEEDED!  There are two more vital opportunities for you to assist with VBS this year.  Both opportunities will take approximately one hour of your time.  The first is to help with the final set-up process this Sunday, August 1, immediately following the 11:00 service.  The second is to help with taking all of the decorations down on Friday, August 6 immediately following the pizza luncheon (12:30).  If you plan on coming, please let Pam Kasai know at 738-2359.  Thanks for helping!

CHURCH TECHNOLOGY – The facilities committee has asked to form a team to evaluate the Church’s technology and communication.  We’re proposing a meeting at July 13 at 7PM  at the church to begin to organize.  The team will be evaluating computers, security, software, the website and sound system to determine if we’ve communicating effectively, being productive and using the right tools. Contact John Korting ( JKorting@KortingFamily.org ) if you’re interested in serving on the team. 

If you are planning to come to the Tag Sale and work tomorrow, Friday June 18th, please plan on parking on the grass by the campfire site.  If you are not able to walk that distance, we will park your car for you.

Parking will be a problem during the morning hours tomorrow.

The Annual Congregational Meeting is this Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 9:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

In Addition to the gift, grocery and gas cards available every Sunday at Advent, we are also offering the Kroger Community Rewards program.  This program returns significant dollars to Advent as our members who have enrolled purchase groceries and prescriptions at Kroger.  So far, since last September Advent has earned over $2,400.00 from Kroger which goes to our general fund. 

Here is how the program works:
Starting April 1, all current participants must re-enroll in Kroger Community Rewards.  This is in order to earn funds for Advent in 2010.  When you enroll or re-enroll please visit www.krogercommunityrewards.com then click on “Ohio” to sign up for a Kroger.com account.  If you are already enrolled go to ”sign-in” using your log in name and password.  If not create a screen name and password, then sign-in.  Please go to the account info and fill in your information including your Kroger Plus Card number and be sure to designate Advent Scrip or Advent’s Number which is 80339.  Complete the enrollment process.  Then all Kroger purchases will earn dollars for Advent.  Advent Scrip is one of the ways we can support the ministries of Advent.  As we search for values in our everyday activities we can also help God’s work here at Advent.  Questions: please contact George Zaebst @ 870-4724 or gzaebst@gmail.com.
