Advent has purchased and installed an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED) for the protection of anyone in the building suffering a serious cardiac event and while awaiting the emergencysquad. The unit is also equipped with pediatric pads in the event a child suffers such a cardiac event. Thus the unit will also be available for use by the B.E.A.R.S. pre-school. The operation of the unit is fully automatic with verbal and text prompts for ease of use if a cardiac event would occur. The unit is located on the wall near the doors to the playground so is in a very central location in the building. The Narthex first aid equipment and supplies are also located in the same area.

August 28, September 18 and September 25

The sessions will meet during the SS hour (9:45 - 10:45) on Sunday mornings.  Adults will meet in the fellowship hall. Just follow the signs.  Children can go to the nursery on Aug. 28 and SS in Sept.   New members will be received on Sunday Oct. 2 at the service of your choice.  Yes, those who have plans to be out of town on 10/2 can be received in your absence if they would like.

Sessions will focus as follows:
Aug. 28 --  Getting to know each other and then discussing what it means to be a Lutheran today.  Is the Church today, the church Martin Luther envisioned?
Sept. 18 -- The mission and ministry of Advent.  Where we are and where we hope to be going.  How do we all fit in?
Sept. 25 -- Meet some of the leaders (elected and unelected) of the congregation.  Have you ever tried "speed dating"?
