Christmas with Pastor - Thank You

by Ben  | Filed under Christmas, Youth January 5, 2010 22:31

Christmas with Pastor was a REALLY big hit this year.  There were 25 children that participated.  Thanks to Judy Saunders, Jean Pontious, Larry and Sandy Carpenter for helping with movies, cookies, music and general crowd control.  There were also several of our older youth who pitched in and did a great job with the younger kids too.

Annual Christmas Program - December 20

by Ben  | Filed under Christmas, Youth November 25, 2009 21:20

The children will be doing a reenactment of the Nativity.  This presentation emphasizes the great gift God gave the world through the birth of his Son and the different aspects of the Nativity story.  Through this reenactment and music, one will find a more personal understanding of the Nativity.  Please plan to attend on Dec. 20th at the 11:00 a.m. service!

Live Nativity - December 6

Once again, it’s time for this blessed event here at Advent!  Plan to attend on Sunday Dec. 6th from 5:00-7:30 p.m.  Please help out in any way you can, and please bring your family, your friends, and your neighbors with you as we all celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  The evening will be filled with scripture readings, delightful Christmas music outdoors and indoors, a petting zoo at the stable, delicious cookies and hot chocolate, and visitors may even don a costume and join our cast members in the manger scene.  (Thank you in advance for helping Advent to continue this tradition of sharing with the entire community the joy and wonder of Christ’s birth.)
