Advent’s youth will be selling a wide variety of seeds following the services on March 21 and 28.  Flowers, veggies, herbs, pumpkins, tomatoes, everything you might want to get your garden started early; all at very reasonable prices.  Plan on getting all of your seed needs on the 21st or the 28th.  Proceeds go to help Advent’s youth support Jackquiline Namwanje from Uganda, the child they chose to support through Compassion International.

Members have asked about the red rosebuds that have been on the flower shelves recently.  It has long been a custom at Advent that we celebrate the birth of infants to members of Advent by placing a red rosebud on the flower shelf as well as including the infant in the prayers of the church.  Also, we call attention to the fact of the new arrival by a note in the bulletin.  Effective immediately we are changing the custom of the red rose at birth to providing a white rosebud at the time of the infant’s baptism instead of at birth.  We still ask that when a birth occurs the family notify the church secretary and provide all the details, such as name, date of birth, weight and any other pertinent details.  If you have questions please call the Altar Guild chairperson, Beckie Evans-Zaebst at 614-870-4724 or beckierez@aol.com.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, April 3 at 11:00 a.m.  The Hunt is open to all children aged 1-10 years of age.  Each child should bring a basket or bag for collecting treats.  We will meet in the Sunday School wing for a short story and snack before we hunt for Easter Eggs.  This activity will conclude by noon.  Donations of small toys, stickers, and individually wrapped candy are needed to fill the eggs and can be placed in the large basket on the shelf above the coat rack.  Please contact Amy Rae Bashforth at amyraeb@sbcglobal.net or 529-1317 or Greg Leonard at fcbones55@yahoo.com with questions.

Advent's youth invite you to attend the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Talent Show on this Tuesday night, Feb. 16th at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets will be on sale following the Sunday morning services.

A reminder that the youth will be putting the Valentine Care Packages together on Sunday night.  There are 20 care packages being assembled including two extra care packages to soldiers in Prakash's unit.  If you would like to contribute, please place your donations in the Narthex in the bin labeled "Valentine."
