Church Council Meeting Highlights (February 23, 2010)

Parish Life is continuing to work on a Pin board, which will show on a map where all family units of Advent live.
Souper Bowl of Caring [Feb 7]: Youth collected $468 and 182 canned goods.
Valentine Care Packages [Feb 14]: Youth put together 19 care packages for our college students and military.
Catechism Youth Quake [Feb 12-14]. Six of Advent’s catechism class attended the Huron Youth Quake.
Church Use and Clean Up: Several groups use the church and all need to be reminded to clean up after the event. For example, Sunday school rooms and Fellowship Hall need to be picked up and all things in place so that the Bears Preschool Teachers do not have to clean up in order to conduct school.
George Zaebst and Ron Tvorik are both working with the Parish Life Team to develop a Picture Directory Display of Members.
Council discussed the need for a new coffee maker. A motion was passed to go ahead and purchase a new Bun Coffee Maker.
