Every year in June, Advent has its annual tag sale.  The first Tag Sale held was 2003.  Since then the Tag Sale has grown to be a yearlong project.  This is an important event, not only for the ministries of Advent, but also to serve the community.  The Tag Sale is also a major community recycle/reuse effort!  In addition, local area residents, some of limited means, have a chance to get needed household items at a much reduced rate.  Our Tag Sale Team has also proven to be a valuable resource for those families in the church struggling with what to do with leftover items from an estate sale.  Finally, all items left after the tag sale are contributed to the VOA (Volunteers of America).

What can you expect to see at our

TAG SALE and Bake Sale?

• Furniture:  sofas, dressers, tables, chairs, book cases, dinette sets, coffee tables, bed frames, dressers, porch furniture

• Housewares:  utensils, candles, baskets, pots and pans, plastic ware, china, flatware

• Decorations:  Knick-knacks, holiday items, wall hangings, figurines, silk flowers

• Glassware:  glasses, dishes, bowls, mugs, vases, mirrors, pitchers

• Linens:  blankets, towels, sheets and pillow cases, dish towels, table cloths, bedspreads, drapes, rugs (please indicate size of bed linens)

• Office supplies:  photo albums, pens, cards, notebooks, paper, files, desk accessories, stationery, paper cutters, gift wrap

• Art/Art Supplies:  artwork, framed pictures, sculptures, ceramics, paint, blank canvases, frames

• Craft Supplies:  yarn, embroidery floss, ink, cross stitch thread, fabric, sewing machines, paint and brushes

• Sporting Goods:  sports bags, camping equipment, tents, bicycles, sleds, bats & balls, roller blades, rackets and golf clubs and golf equipment

• Toys & Games:  indoor and outdoor toys, board games, stuffed animals, dolls, action figures, blocks, building kits, puzzles, and play equipment

• Small Electronics/Appliances:  radios, alarm clocks, toasters, lamps, flashlights, crock pots, coffee pots, vacuum cleaners, blenders, stereos, record/tape/CD players, office equipment

• Baby equipment:  cribs, strollers, high chairs, playpens, changing tables

• Infants’ & Children’s Clothing:  pants, tops, dresses, shoes, coats, hats, costumes

• Media:  books, magazines, books-on-CD, record albums, CD’s, DVD’s, computer games 

• Tools & Gardening Equipment:  handyman tools, gardening tools, lawn mowers, hoses, sprinklers, bird houses, bird baths, lawn ornaments, rakes, shovels, chippers/shredders, weed whackers, and small tools

• Pet Supplies:  cages, carriers, beds, collars, leashes, food bowls, toys
